Rest in peace Tom
“Mr. C”… as I always called him, was “ the Dad” on our street. If you had a flat bike tire, or a broken chain, all you needed to do was wait for him to come home. He was kind, generous,& always had a patient ear if ever you found yourself in need of one,& quick with a joke to put a smile back on your face. I was fortunate to spend a good part of my childhood having been one of Kathy’s best childhood friends( we were attached at the hip for a few years..lol) everything from teenage crushes, to rides to our first job, Mr. C was always there.. my heart aches for the Callahan family. My prayers are with all of you. ( hugs)
I remember Tom so well.. he was always around hanging with my husband Gary…they were such great friends at one time… i’m so sorry to hear
of his passing
Tom was indeed special to me. I never knew a kinder, friendlier, always ready to help person than Tom.
Tom was extremely knowledgeable and always ready to help with any household "fixit" situation.
Tom's whole family has been, and will be, special to me.
Tom along with his son Randy (like a bother) and his Tom's wife were all there to help me when I had a major medical situation a few years back.
Tom and Randy took me to the hospital, remained in waiting for the entire procedure (many hours), visited me, and later returned me home.
Mrs. Callahan made me food that to get me started on my home recovery.
Tom would check in on me to see how I was doing.
There is so much more I could write about Tom.
As I have heard before,...."heaven needed another angel", and Tom was called.
Tom was a special, kind & generous soul/ he would do anything/anytime for anybody w/o asking for anything in return. He will be extremely missed by anyone his heart encountered!
As the gates of heaven opened up to welcome him, I'm sure he only asked to console & bless his family left on earth.
Sadly missed & always in our hearts, Love,
Your sister-in- law Josey, Josh. Amanda & Steve. Zach & Tracy Lynn Rakes
