Lura Jean Wells' Obituary
Born September 27, 1936, our beloved mom & nana, Lura Jean Wells, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, at the age of 89.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest (Doug) Wells, and her son, Army Lt. Col John Wells. She is survived by her daughter, Sheri Hudak and husband Paul Hudak; granddaughters Erica Rainey and husband Scott Rainey, Ashley Hendricks (Steve Koukouras) and Katherine Hudak; and great-grandchildren Michael, Austin, Ava, and Anna.
She was a woman of quiet strength who overcame life's challenges with resilience and grace. She took great pride in her appearance and had a deep love for fashion, always appreciating quality and detail. Even in her later years, she continued to take much joy in how she presented herself.
Her home was always kept immaculate, a reflection of the care and pride she carried in all areas of her life. As the family's "professional worrier," she showed her love through deep care and concern for those around her.
In her final hours, she remained strong and determined, holding on until her family reassured her it was okay to finally rest.
She will be remembered for her strength, her grace, and quiet unwavering love.
