Mrs. DeRiso was my Confirmation Sponsor! She always had such a holiness about her. I know she is with God and I pray she will continue to pray for all of us as we will for her!! News of her passing made me remember this particular time in my life with her and coincidentally my youngest child will be making her Confirmation this spring. The besties are together again. I’m sure they haven’t stopped talking yet!

I am heartbroken for Dina, Carla and their families, but I am comforted knowing Lena is at peace. She was a gem of a lady—beautiful, kind, loving and sweet. She loved fiercely and she prayed just as fiercely. I will miss her.
