Ann Wilkins Jefferson
Annette, Lisa, family, friends, & fellow soldiers,
I’m so sorry for your loss. Larry was a fellow classmate at North Olmsted HS Class of 1988. We were in National Honor Society, spent fall Friday nights in football and marching band, had mutual friends, and attended prom in the same group/limo.
On a visit to Ohio State in 1989, Larry came down to see mutual friends and we all hung out on the football field in Ohio Stadium where he helped me successfully kick a field goal — giving me bragging rights forever:-)
He gave me sound advice before my Navy tour in Afghanistan based on his experience in Iraq. I was very proud of my fellow service member and classmate, and so glad to have had some good laughs over the years. I think about his grandma’s bar on W. 25th in CLE, pinball machines and keeping in touch over Facebook, most recently debating about the Browns.
You did such a nice job with his celebration of life! I’m so glad I was able to make it and meet many of you. Praying for peace and strength for you these next few months and years. God bless and keep you.
“Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in peace.”
Bravo Zulu, Larry. Thank you for your service and friendship; I’ll miss you, Lt. Col. aka “Captain Coin.” God is nigh.
V/r, Ann M. Wilkins Jefferson
