I worked with Karl in long term care. He touched everyone who knew him or had the pleasure of working with him with his kind gentle manner. He was a true gentleman and a true blessing to all around him. He will truly be missed. I joined Peregrine Health Services six months ago. Karl was one of the first to truly welcome me. We traveled together on a business trip in September which is where I had the honor of getting to know him. He was a dedicated and giving man. Karl provided me with great insight into the business and taught me a lot about my new industry. I found him to be a great listener too! He liked new ideas and ways to improve our business and our company. I appreciated his guidence and insight. During that trip, he shared a lot with me. I didn't know all the details of the previous year and I too was amazed by his courage and focus. The love for his family was evident with each story. I know he cherish every day before and after his diagnosis. We also shared our Catholic faith and had some good discussions about challenges we've both faced. He NEVER told me he was once a Catholic Priest! I just felt the conviction of his faith and comfort with the unknown. Unlike me, he appeared to be better at not trying to control everything. Instead, he allowed God to implement this plan. I am so happy to have been able to meet Karl. On my own journey, he made a difference as he did to so many. I feel lucky witness man with dedication to the right thing: ultimate courage despite all life's challenges, infinite love for his family and passion to work and to make a difference.##imported-begin##Kathi Haywood##imported-end##
Susan and Family, I cannot express my sympathy at your loss. Karl and I worked together, talked cancer treatments together and I thought of him as one of the kindest, 'best' men I have known. Karla and I are so sorry for you and your families loss. I worked with Karl for almost 4 years in the Cleveland area and always thought, "What great guy." When other would go in a questionable way, Karl would always do the right thing. Karl was truly one of the "Good" ones, out there.
