Joyce Marie Turnbull's Obituary
JOYCE MARIE TURNBULL (nee Wrightsman)of Strongsville age 65 passed away Saturday January 9,2010 after a 13 month valiant battle with cancer. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana April 16,1944 to Charles ( deceaced in 2000) and Velma (Brown) Wrightsman of Bloomington, Indiana. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Douglas ; 3 wonderful children, Tina, Kelly (Jay Rueschhoff) and David (Sarah); one grandchild, Dylan; with 2 more grandchildren expected this year;3 sisters, Judy Brown, Sandy Taylor and Patty Graphman; 2 brothers, Edward and Thomas Wrightsman; 5 uncles; 7 aunts; 8 nieces; 4 nephews; and numerous cousins. Joyce graduated from Brown County High School in Nashville,Indiana. She had a wonderful career as a hair stylist; owned her own salon at age 20; styled hair in Europe and Asia; and won many competitive awards. For the past 10 years, she was employed as a Master Hair Stylist at J.C.Penny in Strongsville. Joyce was a kind, loving, compassionate, and caring person of extraordinary energy, placing others ahead of herself. She was a member of The Strongsville United Methodist Church; Strongsville Womens League(SWL) where she served on the fundraising raising activities and Meals on Wheels; the SWL Book Club; a founding member of the Deerfield Ladies Golf League; and a volunteer usher " Red Coat" at Playhouse Square in Cleveland. Other favorite activities includebeing with her grandson, golf, bridge and arranging flowers for friends. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Susan G.
