Miss you sis.
Sometimes the sadness at not being able to pick up the phone for one of our chats is overwhelming.
We would like to express our deepest condolences to Joyce's family and friends. We met Joyce by chance in 1963 in Bloomington, IN because we were 3 working girls from different small towns in southern Indiana and we needed roommates to share an apartment. It was during the early days of the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Stones. We loved the excitement of the times and living in a university town and we became close friends instantly. We even coordinated our vacations one year to take a 2-week train trip to the West Coast. Such treasured memories -- the places we visited, people we met and the shared experiences.
Soon our lives changed, distance separated us, but we vowed to always stay in touch. Our hearts are hurting but we send love and we will keep you in our prayers. May God bless all you during this difficult time.

Dear Turnbull Family,
I just wanted to offer my sincere condolences for your great loss. Although this is a very difficult time may you find comfort in the loving arm of family and friends. I have also found passages such as John 5:28,29 which speaks of the resurrection hope, Isaiah 33:24 which simply says "No resident will say that I am sick", and Rev. 21:4 where God promises to do away with all the things that cause us suffering and pain including death forever, to be very comforting. It is my sincere hope that these thoughts will bring your family comfort as well.

Dear Doug and Kids,
Both Alicia White and Sue Glenn have called us today with the sad news we knew was imminent. Our prayers have been with all of you this week and remain so. Joyce was so vivacious and sweet, a soul who could bring light to many friends. Now Gary and I will take down our Christmas tree for the season and we will be sorrowful for all the darkness this brings.
Our love to all,
