John Paul Polomsky's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of John Paul Polomsky announces his passing on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at the age of 86 years.
Born September 18,1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Emma (Evans) Polomsky. John was the beloved widower of Nancy (Hagan) Polomsky. He met the love of his life in high school and for 66 years they built a wonderful life and family together. After many moves, they settled in Cary, North Carolina and enjoyed living there for 11 years.
John was a graduate of West Tech High School in Cleveland and served two years in the United States Marine Corp. He received an Electrical Engineering degree from Fenn College and was employed by the Bell System for over 25 years before retiring as a District Manager from The Ohio Bell Telephone Company. He loved working on cars, gardening, travel and being with his family. He will greatly be missed.
John will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Timothy of Cary, North Carolina and Michael (Anne) of Macedonia, Ohio; daughters Cynthia Flasch (Charles) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Diane Berk (David) of Holly Springs, North Carolina and Judy Tackett (James) of Holly Springs, North Carolina; his sister, Suzanne of Elk Grove Village, Illinois. John will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Michael Polomsky, Jennifer Esterle (Kurt), Douglas Polomsky (Courtney), Kathryn Lennert (Phil), Samantha Record (Adam), Megan Hart (Ben), Ryan Tackett, Sarah Tackett, Erin Mulder (Scott), Mac Flasch, Kyle Tackett and Spencer Flasch and great grandchildren Lexi Esterle, Lindsi Tackett, Lily Polomsky, Garret Polomsky, Ella Hart, Caroline Hart, Aria Record, Hudson Record, Maggie Mulder, and Addison Tackett. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Polomsky, and his grandson, Jonathan Flasch.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 11AM ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 AT JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL ROAD, STRONGSVILLE. A Celebration of Life Mass will follow at 11:30 AM at St John Neumann’s Church, 16271 Pearl Road, Strongsville. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
