John Charles Karoly's Obituary
John C. Karoly, 71, passed away on April 25, 2022 in Fort Myers, Florida.
He was born on February 20, 1951 to John and Cornelia (nee Jakob) Karoly.
He married Maureen (nee Filo) Karoly and they have been happily married for 44 years. She survives.
After graduating from John Marshall High School , John went on to Kent State University where he received his bachelor's degree before finishing with an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College. He had a 34 year career in corporate sales with Alcan Aluminum then Rio Tinto Mining. He retired in 2014 and moved to a golfing community in Fort Myers, FL in 2016.
His interests included rock ‘n roll & its biographical history starting in high school. As a huge Beatles fan, he continued to follow many Cleveland musicians/bands. His college years at KSU made a lasting impression on him. His fond memories of bands he saw there later became rock ‘n roll headliners. He read business news regularly and loved sharing his opinions on what he learned. His tech skills were self taught. He had a nature of helping anyone who asked who didn’t understand technology .
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children Amanda (Edward) Ross and Jared (Christy) Karoly; sister Susan (Jim) Buckley; and grandchild, Kierra.
VISITATION on FRIDAY, April 29th, 2022 from 9:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville. FUNERAL MASS to follow at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will be taking place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
