Joanne M. Abramczyk's Obituary
Joanne M. Abramczyk,(nee Perney) age 76, born on 06/05/1940 to James & Anna Perney (nee Petrash). Went home to the Lord on Nov/24/2016 Beloved wife for 54 years to Richard F. Devoted mother to Sheryl A. Yankovich (Paul, deceased), David E. (Wendy) & Robert J. (Franceska). Cherished grandmother to Alex, Eric, Mason & Ava. Sister to James, Raymond & Lawrence (all deceased). Joanne studied music at Western Reserve University, Cleveland Institute of Music and Cuyahoga Community College. She taught piano privately at home for a few years but her real love was singing. She was a member of the choirs at Holy Family Church in Parma, St. Joseph Church in Strongsville and St. Ambrose Church in Brunswick, often singing as the soloist for weddings, funerals and other events. She was a Realtor for 39 yrs, working for Century 21 Olesick Realty, Century 21 Towne Centre Realty and Coldwell Banker Hunter Realty, which later became Coldwell Banker Schmidt Family of Homes, and loved what she did. She never met a client that she did not like, for she was a people person. But her family and friends were the real joy of her life. She was involved in church activities at Holy Family Parish in Parma and St. Ambrose Parish in Brunswick. Joanne loved and found great peace in the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, bicycling and camping, and traveling whenever and wherever she could. The only thing that kept her from traveling more was the cancer that she suffered with for 20 years. But even that didn’t stop her from taking 2 or 3 day outings as some thing to look forward to as her cancer progressed. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Ambrose Church on THURSDAY, December 1, 2016 at 11am, family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass. Internment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Cuyahoga Hts. to be determined at a later date. Family will receive friends at Jardine Funeral Home located at 15822 Pearl Rd., Strongsville WEDNESDAY, November 30, 2016 from 3-8PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Ambrose Catholic Works of Mercy, 929 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, OH. www.jardinefh.com
