Wally and family. I’m so sorry to hear of Janice’s passing. She was my first cousin and always smiling bf which is how I will always remember her. Wally, I’m not sure if you remember but you and my dad Steve Chmielewski used to go to the paraplegic Olympics for the veterans. I’m his middle daughter. Please accept my sincerest condolences. Mr. Ohler, Stacy, and Meghan- we may have lost touch through the years but your family and the memories we made (on and off the softball field) will always hold a special place in my heart. I hope you are able to find some peace this holiday season.

I first met Janice and her family as her home healthcare nurse and was welcomed into her home by her bright smile and positive spirit. While caring for her the overwhelming feeling of love, family and peace within her home, as well as her daughter and husband’s devotion and their strong family bond, touched my heart. Janice taught me by example what courage, strength and hope truly mean. Even on the days I knew she was suffering, her bright smile and her hugs when I entered their home - first as her nurse and later as her friend - touched my heart. I loved making her laugh and hope I was able to provide some small measure of comfort to her and her family. It was sincerely a privilege and a pleasure to care for her and become a part of her family.
