Like many of you, I have lots of great memories involving George.

I was in Columbus a few years back with Geo and a few others having dinner after a round of golf. It was a great night with a lot of laughs....sound familiar to anyone?
We talked about music among other things. We got in our Uber and on the ride back to the hotel our driver was jamming some Steely Dan. It was a song we all knew and before long, me Geo, our HR Director and the Uber driver were all belting out that song. Geo looked over at me and just said "what a great night".
It was like that most of the time. A true gent and a friend I won't forget

At the age of 6 I moved two houses down from the Schlinders. Max and I became best friends right away. Shortly after that George became my first baseball coach and went on to buy me my first set of golf clubs. George signed us all up for golf lessons at ridgewood golf course. I continued to play baseball through high school and still golf to this day. George was the person who really started my passion for these two sports and for that I am forever grateful. I spent many days over the Schlinder’s house. From playing video games in the basement, hitting golf balls around the yard, and swimming in that awesome pool. I always felt welcome over their house and was often invited to stay for dinner or a sleepover. George was always around to offer advice and words of encouragement. As successful as George was as a businessman, you would never know. He was humble and always treated everyone kindly. One of my favorite memories with George is when he took us all to opening day in 1994. The first game in the new Jacobs Field. We sat first base side front row. It was such an honor to know George. He did more than he will ever know to help shape me into the person I am today. He was one of a kind.
