Eileen always had a smile on her face and exuded joy! She was kind, funny and so supportive of all our kids. I am shocked and heartbroken for Theresa and her family. My heart and thoughts go out to you. I am so, so very sorry and saddened by your loss ❤️
Eileen was truly an amazing woman and will live on... What she brought to our energy effort at CWRU is what we knew she was capable of, but what she brought to my life was unexpected. Warm, passionate, an amazing mother and wife, and so much more. The days ahead will be difficult to her family, but the treasured memories will make it the more bearable. Bless her and her family. At times the darkness that you and your family will experience may be overwhelming but remember with fondness all the memories and experiences that your wife and mom created together with you. She was a guiding force behind the Women in Engineering Program at The University of Akron, and her energy and passion was felt deeply. She was bright, articulate, supportive and kind but more importantly she was always willing to mentor a wayward student and provide guidance to me personally when things got tough. She was a wonderful member of the Women in Engineering Council and although she would never commit to attending a single meeting...I knew that she would always come and she did...unless, she was taking a vacation to be with her family. I feel like her passing came to soon and that she had so much more to do on this earth but perhaps she will have to guide us all from heaven instead. I loved Eileen and her beautiful spirit and will miss her greatly.

Prayers lifted up for Chris, his father Allan, and siblings Phil and Theresa for God's comfort, strength, peace and love during your tremendous loss. Although I did not have the privilege of knowing Eileen, sounds like she was an amazing lady, with so many contributions. A donation was made in her memory to the Up Side of Downs so her legacy and contributions of her time and resources can be carried on to honor her.
