I met Don almost 45 years ago when I started dating his brother,Jerry. He loved joking around and having a good time. As many have stated, Don loved his family unashamedly. What greater legacy could one leave? He will be missed by all as he was so socially minded and loved to talk to anyone. My heart grieves for Lynn and Don and Jeff and all the rest of the family. May he rest in peace!
So sorry for your loss.Don was a great man who we met about 10 years ago thru the Paces. My 2 sons and I fished with Don at Shore Nuf charters he was our first mate and we always tried to book a trip he was working. Both my sons loved Don he would talk with them and laugh with them as if they were his own grandchildren. He will definitely be missed but will live on in all the memories we have of the times fishing with him over the years! The Dillen Family:
Our warmest condolences. Don "Papa" was a great neighbor who will truly be missed. He was so fond and proud of his family. We always enjoyed the drive by conversations up at the lake and will never forget him. Every talk resulted in laughs. He will always be our neighbor and in our memories. We appreciate the talks, the friendliness, great company and his golf cart rides with the kiddos. Love,
Michelle, Brian, Owen and Callie
I used to do business with Don when he was working for Robert Levin in the 80's and 90's. Don was Mr. Armstrong to a lot of his customers and I found him to be a true professional and also very personable. Over the years I grew to respect and admire how he handled himself and business. I ended up working with Don at Ohio Valley Flooring when Jeff worked there also. Don and I always shared a laugh or 3 and he was happy to dispense his wisdom about business, fishin' and life in general. i remember having drinks with him and Jeff after an OVF meeting and what a blast we had laughing and talking about our customers and bosses
I,as well as tons of others loved the man. My deepest condolences to the entire Dillen family and friends.Rest in peace my friend.

To the entire Dillen Family,
First let me express my sympathy for your loss.
Papa was a great man who loved his whole family. When we were fishing or sitting around at the lake he always had stories of his kids or grandkids.
I was honored when Donnie asked me and Kenny to take one last fishing trip with Papa and him just a few weeks ago. That day was great and will be in my memory forever.
Thank you for letting papa share his love of the outdoors with me from spring fishing at the lake to the many long weekends in New York for Salmon and Walleye. It was a true pleasure to know someone who loved his family and hobby so much.
Don was just a fun man to be around and always was doing something to get a good time started.
He will be missed and I am glad we all had one last trip together.
Thanks for the wonderful memories.
Your Friend,
David Pace
