My mom and I were very close. Now that I've had time to process and heal from the loss, I can say that her and I were the closest. I took her to all of doctor appointments, took her to see her cousin in Pennsylvania, and she really counted on me to be there for her. She always could count on me! I didn't do a 'daughterly duty', I was actually involved in her daily life! I've never lost a parent that cares for me before and I can't believe how hard it was! But she knew i was there at the hospital in her last moments! I felt it! She heard me say 'Mom, I'm here'! I held her hand and got to say my good-bye! I took the loss hard! But she's still with me in everything I do! ❤️
We are so sorry to hear about Carol's passing and will miss her dearly. She was a dear friend of ours for 40 years and shared her faith with us. We met her when we all volunteered at the Crisis Pregnancy Center. She was present with us in our home when our adopted son was delivered to us. My mom loved coming to our house during every season of the year. Sitting on the deck and watching the deer go by, having a glass of wine and sharing a great meal. She especially loved football season! An avid Steelers fan, there was a friendly rival in our house during the Browns / Steelers games 😊🏈. We had many spiritual conversations, but mostly sharing our love for Jehovah God 🙏.
So for now, we wait until he fulfills His promise at Psalm 37:10, 11. There he will restore this earth to the paradise that he originally purposed for mankind. 🫶💖
