Betty Lou Kircher's Obituary
Betty Lou Kircher ( Miller), 94 years young! , of Strongsville , Ohio, left us on July 22nd after a wonderfully active life filled with the love of family and friends. Betty was a life-long Clevelander, our city’s biggest cheerleader and devoted Indians fan! She was past matron of the Parma Chapter of Eastern Stars ; a youth mentor in the Parma Schools for 20 years ; a volunteer driver for the Sight Center; active in her church and a volunteer for Obama in 2012.
Betty worked at Crile Hospital during WWII, now Tri C West, and held several secretarial jobs throughout her life. But her real joy was enriching the lives of her family with her constant support and love, volunteering, entertaining and always meeting new soon-to-be lifelong friends. She made a mean Danish Puff!
Betty was preceded in death by the love of her life, Edward (Red) Kircher, her precious son Mark ( Alan), son in law, Mike Riegel ( Karen) and her sister-in-law Marie Haley. She will be treasured forever by her son David (Maryann) and her daughter Karen (Kevin), and adored by her grandchildren Amanda Hover (Austin), Matthew (Katy) and Erika Irrera (Thomas) . She was “Tat” to her great grandchildren, Montana, Joshua, Michaela, Eva, Acadia, London , Lincoln, Molly Mae, and Maggie Lou; and will be missed by her devoted nephews Robert (Irma), Dennis (Mary), niece Susan ( Bob), and her cousin and travel buddy, Lorna Caley of the Isle of Man,UK.
Her friends gave her life meaning and joy and when you were loved by Beck, you knew it!!! She was love!! Celebration of her life will be on Saturday, August 20th, 10-11 visitation, and service at 11. Strongsville United Church Of Christ , 13740 Pearl Rd.
