Betty brightened my day whenever she came to school. We laughed and enjoyed each others company. She was kind to everyone and made you feel special. My heart breaks when I think of not seeing her this school year. Things will not be as bright without her and her humor. Finding the words to capture the essence of Beck is almost impossible. I can only say that I am proud to be counted among her many friends and am blessed to have known her for just shy of 50 years. Beck's goodness and open heart will live on thru everyone of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and all those who follow. What a legacy she has left. I remember sitting at Bettys dinner table, Red and I had just finished a long day at the garage, (i was chief window washer), And Red says "We got anything sweet in the house besides you Betty Lou". That has stayed with me my entire life. She was the most amazing woman, and i'll miss our conversations greatly. What a family she raised.
