Barbara Ann was one of the first loves of my life. I was 10-12 years old when she came to visit "Aunt Vinie" after earning her registered nurse certification. She was beautiful dressed in her whites with the nurses' hat that had a big black stripe to indicate her status. Was I ever enamored!
More importantly, she taught me how to make a bed with the hospital fold she has learned. I still make the bed that way today and I always remember her when I do.
I do remember her and Jim's wedding and the disappointment when they moved to Ohio. One of several loves gone from my life!
I have not seen or spoken with Barbara Ann for many years. Simply logistics. I'm sure she is in heaven and I'm grateful to have had my time with her. My thoughts are of her and with her family.

Prayers of peace and comfort for you, Greg, Scott and Matt. I regret that I won't be there for the service this weekend.

To my sweet Aunt Barb you will greatly be missed, I aways think of you when I look up on mantle… sending prayers to all of her family.
My heart and prayers go out to all the family and to my special friend Sandra. Barbara was an outstanding person and so sorry didn’t get to see her much at all but heard great things about her. God bless you all.
Barb was a valued member of the Upper Room Group at Columbia UMC. She was an original member of this group which formed about 15 years ago. One of the foundations of our group is what is discussed there and shared; stays there. I hope Barb will not be angry at me for sharing a few things. She was a devote Christian woman. She loved the Lord and was not shy in sharing her opinions. I remember being impressed with her desire to study the Bible. In her lifetime she had read it completely several times. She often shared memories of her youth and her boys. She remained faithful to our group even when she could not always attend. May God bless her beloved family and friends.
