Bill "Snarz" Szoke was one of a kind. His Snarz story about his experience in basic training is still being recounted by myself and all those who knew him. One of my favorite stories about Bill was the time he came over with the movie 'The Black Stallion' and told my daughters not to talk during the movie because there is very little dialog and you have to pay attention to the action in the movie. So...Bill proceeded to talk during the entire movie and that's why we loved him so much.

I met Bill when I started working at Cook United, right out of high school. Despite differences in our age, we struck up a once in a lifetime friendship. The 9 years I worked with Bill were some of the most enjoyable and memorable years. He was like a big brother to me. He was family. We played softball together at Cook and then at Saint Monica's. We hung together and visited each other's families. After Cook United closed, we still remained in touch. God doesn't make them any better than Bill.”
