Family was everything to our Dad. He was always there to support us, provide us his wisdom, and managed to usually work in a joke when you needed to hear one. He taught us what it was to work hard, to endure, and to be proud of who you are. He always listened, always had a hug, always told you he loved you. He was our anchor. I knew whenever I was trying to work through a situation, whether it was at work or home, I knew Dad would always help me through it. He always wanted all of to move back home.
We would tell him we were going to have a party at the house and he would just say "ok, what do you want me to buy?".
There was no one like Dad. There are no words to express what an impact he had on us alI. To say he will be missed is an understatement. He will be celebrated, remembered, but most of all loved forever. I know it was your time to shove off, Dad, thank you for everything. We love you and I am forever grateful that you were our Dad.
Thank you for all you did for us and taught us-safety first, lighten up, always try to laugh and turn off the light when not using it just to mention a few. The title of “Biggest Bullhead” often transferred back and forth between us over the years. Now some people may refer to being a bullhead in a negative way but to be a bullhead is not a bad thing. You showed me being a bullhead means you are determined, hard working, are fully committed to the people and causes you believe in and care about and are willing to stand up for them. A bullhead refuses to back down or give up. No matter how long it takes, a bullhead will always find a way-even if it is just to prove others wrong. We often would discuss when others tried to tell us what to do—and we would just laugh. They had no idea who they were dealing with. You were one amazing bullhead and I am so proud of you for that. I am honored and humbled when called a bullhead and will do my best to live up to the bullhead standards you have set forth. I want you to be able to look down smiling and say “dang, now that’s a bullhead”. You always made sure we knew you loved us very much. We all knew no matter what you were there for us. You will be missed very much but you taught us well and we will do our best to pass those lessons on. Just one final question Dad-you know who loves you?
