William "Bill" Bender, age 69, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Bill leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to his loved ones and passions.
Bill's journey began as the cherished son of Wallace and Vivian Bender. His life was enriched by his beloved wife, Lillian, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage filled with devotion and mutual support. Together, they raised their son, Matt Bender, who alongside his wife Amy, continued to bring joy into Bill's life. He was a caring brother to Nancy Babb (Don) and Jill Moyer (Dave), and his familial bonds were a source of great pride and comfort to him.
Throughout his life, Bill's interests painted the picture of a man who embraced the beauty of the simple things. He found solace in the tranquility of the lake, and his passion for collecting memorabilia reflected his love for preserving memories. A lifelong fan of Cleveland sports, Bill's enthusiasm for his teams was infectious. His voice was a familiar presence in the community, thanks to his long and respected career in radio and advertising, where he touched the lives of many with his charisma and creativity.
