Willard C. "Bill" Hosic's Obituary
Willard C. “Bill” Hosic passed away April 11, 2016, at the age of 97. A devoted family man, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Jean Kuentz Hosic, and is survived by daughters Barbara Hohman of MI, Patricia Palmer (Danny) of OH, Margaret “Peg” (Michael) Mowrey, of SC, and Beverly Hosic of ME, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Born in Pratt, KS, he was raised in Rochester, NY, as the only child of Frank and Valerie Hosic. He graduated from Heidelberg University in 1942 with a BA in Music Education. He served honorably in the US Army during WWII and earned a Master’s Degree in Music from Syracuse University prior to settling in the Cleveland area. After 8 years of teaching in the Parma school system, he was a purchasing agent for Central Lithograph Company for 29 years and retired as VP in 1984. He resided in Parma, Strongsville and Waverly, OH, prior to moving to SC in 2007.
Friends and family may call Saturday, 11-1 at The Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Rd, Strongsville. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted. Contributions made to one’s charity of choice are requested in lieu of flowers. www.jardinefh.com
