Walter Wayne Prishmont's Obituary
Walter Wayne Prishmont, born in Cleveland on May 2, 1944, died December 25, 2025. He was 81 years old. Husband of Sylvia for over 60 years, father of Matthew Scott (deceased) and Laura Ann Prishmont Quimby, and grandfather of Aukai (Kai) Matthew Prishmont Quimby.
Wayne served in the Army First Calvary Division for four years and was a proud Vietnam veteran. Wayne was a loving dad who enjoyed walking, gardening, golfing, sailing, and music. Being a musician at heart, he played bass guitar, piano, trumpet, and accordion. He was a "Deadhead" and loved going to Grateful Dead shows with his nephew Christopher Helaney. They moved back to the Cleveland area afterwards to be closer to family and friends. Wayne is survived by wife Sylvia, daughter and grandson, sisters Sheryl L. Helaney and Bonnie Delturco (Bob), family and friends.
