Vincenzo "Jimmy" Violi's Obituary
Vincenzo “Jimmy” Violi, 82, a longtime resident of Columbia Station, passed away on November 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He had been under the care of Hospice of the Western Reserve of Lorain County for the last 12 months.
Born in Reggio Calabria, Italy, Jimmy worked hard to build a life for his family. He often held two jobs at a time including his 40 years of service at Kirkwood Industries. His first priority and passion was his family. For recreation and competition, Jimmy loved spending time playing golf with family and friends as often as he could.
Vincenzo is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Barbara (nee Zuk); loving Father of six children Dominic (Theresa); Francesca Gunther (Roger); Joe; Paul; Anna Cook (James); Irene Chasen (Benjamin). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Antonio “Tony”; Stefano (Rosa).
Vincenzo was preceded by his deceased parents Domenico and Nancy; siblings Paul (deceased); (Grace), Frank (Antonia) (both deceased); Rocco (deceased) (Filomena); Giuseppe (deceased); Francesca (deceased).
VISITATION will be held Tuesday from 4-8 PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville 44136. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 25801 Royalton Rd., Columbia Station 44028 . Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
