Timothy "Tim" Twohig's Obituary
Timothy "Tim" Twohig, a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2024, at the age of 72. Born in Lakewood, Ohio, on September 12, 1951, to parents Robert and Ruth Twohig, Tim grew up in a loving home filled with laughter and kindness—a trait he carried throughout his life.
Tim met the love of his life, Jackie, and they wed on August 5, 1977. Their marriage was a testament to commitment and love, flourishing for 46 years. Together, they raised their son, Matt, instilling in him the values of family, hard work, and the joy of life's simple pleasures. Tim's infectious laugh and warm presence also extended to his nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember their fun-loving uncle.
Professionally, Tim dedicated 15 years to Fleming, where he excelled in sales, earning the respect and friendship of colleagues and clients alike. He retired in 1996. His work ethic and charismatic personality were hallmarks of his successful career.
Music was one of Tim's greatest passions. His taste ranged from the crescendos of classical compositions to the soulful riffs of blues and the raw energy of heavy metal and jazz. His love for music was only matched by his enthusiasm for ice hockey, particularly the Vancouver Canucks.
Tim's adventurous side was displayed through his love for long drives with Jackie. In his earlier years, he was an avid ice skater, biker, and golfer, often found enjoying these activities with a close-knit group of friends.
Above all, Tim will be remembered for his great laugh—a sound that could light up a room and bring comfort to those around him. His presence was a source of joy and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be dearly missed by his wife Jackie, son Matt, and the extended family of relatives and friends whose lives he touched.
A MEMORIAL MASS will be held on FRIDAY, May 3rd at 11am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 25801 Royalton Road, Columbia Station.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
