Thomas W. Morgan's Obituary
Thomas W. Morgan, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on March 30, 2025, in Strongsville, Ohio, at the age of 69. Born on November 10, 1955, in Chillicothe, OH, Tom was a man of integrity, warmth, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.
Tom's life was marked by his enduring love for his family. He was the beloved husband of 44 years to Sharon L. Morgan (nee Crider), and together they built a life filled with laughter and love. A loving father, Tom was immensely proud of his daughters, Tracy Lynn and Allison Barney (Caleb). He instilled in them the values of hard work, compassion, and the importance of family. Tom was the cherished son of Marjorie Morgan (nee Delong) and the late Quentin W. Morgan; brother to his siblings, Steven Morgan (Linda) and Paula Torner (Enrique); brother-in-law to Cindy Scott (Greg); and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a proud grandfather to Preston, Kelsea, Andrew, and Avery.
Tom's academic journey culminated in his graduation from The Ohio State University in 1978, an accomplishment that paved the way for a successful career. He dedicated 25 years of service to the Cleveland Clinic before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and care that touched the lives of many.
Throughout his life, Tom's interests and hobbies reflected his zest for life and love for his community. He and Sharon spent six memorable years in Joppatowne, Maryland, and eight years in Tampa, Florida, places they continued to visit and held dear to their hearts. An avid fan of The Ohio State University's basketball and football teams, Tom's passion for sports was ignited during his college years when he served as the manager of the basketball team for two years—a time he often reminisced about with fondness.
Tom's love for boating was cultivated during his time in Maryland and Florida, where he enjoyed the tranquility and adventure of being on the water. However, it was his grandkids who brought him the most joy. Each moment spent with them was treasured, and he took great pleasure in sharing his love for sports, the outdoors, and the simple pleasures of life with them. Tom's legacy is one of love, commitment, and joy. His presence was a source of stability and strength, and his guidance was sought after by all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Tom's memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
