Thomas John Krukemeyer's Obituary
On May 18, 2021, Thomas John Krukemeyer passed away peacefully at age 84.
Tom was born on July 10, 1936 in Bay Village, OH to Veronica and William Krukemeyer. He met the love of his life Diane Krukemeyer (Davis) at Bay High School in 1952 and on August 16, 1958, they were married and lived a wonderful life together for 63 years. Together they raised a son, Tom Krukemeyer and a daughter Kathy Krieger.
Tom faithfully served his country as a First Lieutenant in the US Army. After the Army Tom pursued a passion for teaching where he taught students at Berea, Brooklyn, and Tri-C for over 30 years. He loved to work with his hands to fix things, ride his bike, watch the Cleveland Indians, and much to his wife’s dismay listen to opera music. He was always known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
He is survived by his wife Diane, his two children, Tom (Val), Kathy (Bob), his grandchildren Kelly Wagner (Brad), Sarah Krieger, and Tom Krukemeyer (Emily), his great-grandchildren Layla, Mia, and Grace, and his brothers Dan and Bill. The family will receive friends and family at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, OH 44136 on THURSDAY MAY 20, 2021 4PM-7PM. A Memorial Mass will be held on FRIDAY MAY 21, 2021 at 11AM at St. Mary’s, 250 Kraft St. Berea, OH 44017. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Parkinson’s Foundation 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131 in his name.
