Major Thomas Edward "Buddy" Hallis' Obituary
Major Thomas Edward “Buddy” Hallis Jr, 58, passed away June 26, 2017. Loving father of Thomas Edward Kotris (Tina) and Tanya Moore (Kevin). Beloved son of Thomas Hallis Sr. and the late Dolores Tomazic. Brother of Laura Yakobics, Robert and Ron Hallis. Dear grandfather of Magdalena, Amelia, and Eloise. Loving uncle of five and great uncle of four. Buddy enlisted in the military in 1976 and was honorably discharged in 1980 after faithfully executing his duties. After using his G.I. Bill to obtain a degree in nursing he joined the Air National Guard and served as a member of the Homeland Response Force, the Border Patrol, and the 200th Red Horse Squadron so that he could use his medical expertise to serve and help others in need. Buddy will be remembered for his devotion and service to his country, his devotion and service to his family, and his devotion to and love for all people that he encountered. VISITATION will be MONDAY 4-7PM with Funeral Service to follow at 7PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, July 5th. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
