Susan Novak's Obituary
Susan M. Novak, 85, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born on May 28, 1938, to the late Harvey and Helen (nee McDorman) Mayrose in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
Loving mother of Alan (Kathy) Novak, Raymond (Annette Davidson) Novak, and Gary (Cairn) Novak. Cherished grandmother of Andrew Novak, Eric (Brooke) Novak, Stephen (Sara) Novak, Kelly (Scott) Marmoll, and Jacob Novak. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Norman Novak and her sister, Ann Mayrose.
Sue and her family moved to New York where she attended Mamaroneck High School. Following high school, she met her husband in a band room at Western Reserve College in Cleveland, Ohio. They married in 1958 and raised their 3 sons while enjoying boating, musicals, band activities and sporting events. Sue enjoyed working as an executive secretary at Parker Hannifin where she retired in 1998.
She was very active in the John Knox Presbyterian Church, where she participated in the Stephen Ministry and Choir. She also enjoyed reading the Bible and various novels, solving all types of puzzles, and golf.
A celebration of life service is planned for Friday, Dec 1st, 6:00 at John Knox Presbyterian Church, located at 25200 Lorain Rd, North Olmsted, OH 44070. Following the service a gathering of family & friends will be held with light appetizers provided by the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to John Knox Presbyterian Church - Stephen Ministries.
