Stacy Margaret Martin's Obituary
Stacy M. Martin, 56, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Our angel on earth, gone too soon. Stacy passed away at home surrounded by family and friends.
Stacy was born on October 23, 1967, to Charles and Rosemary (nee Franz) Martin in Berea, Ohio. Stacy attended St. Mary's Catholic School through eighth grade and graduated from Berea High School, class of 1986. She attended Cleveland State University achieving a Bachelor's degree in nursing. Stacy touched the lives of so many as a dedicated nurse at University Hospital and later in her career as a sales representative for OrthoPediatrics. Stacy embodied compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to her profession and the surgeons she worked alongside. Her legacy will forever be remembered in the lives she touched and the hearts she uplifted.
Stacy’s children have always remained at the center of her world. Stacy was their biggest fan, cheering them on through all their feats and accomplishments and supporting them and guiding them through the tough times in life. Stacy committed her life to fostering opportunities and experiences to give her children a life of fond memories and moments. The love she gave will live through them.
How do we show honor to a life well lived? Stacy leaves a legacy of light and love. Her smile, her energy, compassion for others, hold it close to your heart. Move forward in your own lives on earth giving to others the love and light she shared with you. Imitate her way each day. Close your eyes, feel the warm sun on your face and remember her smile. Feel her presence. Give a smile back in return. Live, love and be a light to others. May she rest in peace, knowing her impact on this world will never be forgotten.
Stacy is survived by her parents Charles and Rosemary Martin; children Cassidy Gillette (fiancé Jared) and Joseph Gillette; siblings Stanley Martin, Tammy Wisz (Matthew) and Theresa Martin-Krueger (Guy); nieces and nephews Jessica Singer (John), Nicole McCafferty (Michael), Matthew Wisz, Alex Martin, Raquel Martin, Mariah Martin, Anthony Martin; great nieces and nephews John Singer, Hannah Singer, Christopher Singer, Savannah Singer and Quinn McCafferty; godchildren Annie Lindley and Shannon Lloyd; fur babies Midas Martin and Molly Martin; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and best of friends.
VISITATION will be held on MONDAY, February 26 from 4pm – 8pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place on TUESDAY, February 27 at 10am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 16271 Pearl Road, Strongsville. Interment will take place at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children's Miracle Network which supports children's hospitals around the country including Rainbow Babies and Akron Children's Hospital
