I would like, with a deep felt heart, send my condolences to Gloria, Tommy and the rest of the family. I have very fond memories of being at Aunt Sophie's for Christmas Eve with her making homemade Pierogie's, the cousins playing, the men playing cards and the women in the kitchen talking.
My mom, Marge Yuse, also sends her condolences to the best Sister-in-law anyone could have ever had. Sophie listened to your problems, laughed with you and cried with you.

Aunt Sophie will always be remembered as the matriarch of our family. She watched us all grow, marry, have children. She loved everyone unconditionally and was there when we needed her, if nothing else to talk. I will always remember being there late at night, laughing, talking, and of course she fed us all. Picnics, holidays. We were all so lucky to have her as our Aunt. I will miss you so very much and carry you in my heart. You are with Uncle Walter, the love of your life. He will be so happy to have you with him once again. .

Sophie was my "other" grandmother,. She made Christmas Eve so special. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to share. She made the best pierogis and pigs feet. I will truly miss her. We have lost an angel and heaven has gained one.
