Janice Blair
I was lucky to meet Shirley in the park where I was also walking my dog. She was sitting in her shiny car with her beautifully groomed dog and she looked to me like a rich lady. She wasn’t really rich money-wise but she was rich in her many wonderful qualities. We often walked our dogs together and talked on the phone everyday. Now my days don’t feel complete without my good friend to talk to.
I believe in the story of the Rainbow Bridge, where our beloved pets go when they die and where they await the person who cared for them during their lifetime. I imagine Duffy waiting for his Momma, Shirley, and the joyous reunion they had. Then together they went over the bridge to heaven where all of Shirley’s family and friends were waiting to greet her.
I know she is truly happy now and that makes our loss a little easier to bear.
I remain forever Shirley’s good friend.
Sincerely
Janice Blair
