Shirley Jean Buike's Obituary
Shirley Jean Buike, Age 87, surrounded by the people and things she loved, passed away peacefully at her home in Fairview Park, OH the morning of December 28th. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Buike, her parents Arthur and Ottilia Sattler and her sister Betty Cooney. All three of her children were present at her passing: Derre Buike of Strongsville, OH; Kim Buike of Mountlake Terrace, WA; and Tami Henderson of Boulder, CO. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Born Shirley Jean Sattler on April 20, 1928 in Lakewood, Ohio; she graduated from West High School and lived most of her life in Northern Ohio, residing with her husband and raising her family in Cleveland, Berea and Strongsville. She and her husband also lived for a time in Warwick, RI and in Mission Viejo, CA. Following the 1991 passing of her husband, Shirley lived again in Rhode Island before returning to Ohio, residing in Fairview Park since 2005. Shirley loved and took great pride in her family and enjoyed the Holiday season and its many traditions most of all - traditions now preserved by her family in lasting memory of "Sirrey."
