Sheila Ann Gallagher-Nadeau's Obituary
Sheila Ann Gallagher-Nadeau, age 86, of Strongsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026 surrounded by family. Devoted wife to Gregory, loving mother to Teri Miller (Larry), Karen Scullin and Joe Bluemel (Lisa). She was a devoted grandmother to Patrick Scullin (Jillian), Katie Walsh (Corey), Chad, Hannah & Danielle Miller, Madison Rooy (Aaron),
Evan Bluemel and Ireland Bluemel. She has three great grandchildren, Charli Scullin, Jack & Max Walsh, and one on the way.
Preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Nadeau, sister, Norene Taseff, mother, Marie Catherine Flynn, and father, William John Gallagher.
Sheila embraced a life of ministry and became a hospice chaplain as a second career. She attended the School of Ministry Training and completed a Certificate in Clinical Pastoral Education. She worked at Southwest Hospice and taught Bereavement Classes as well as bringing peace and comfort to many at the end stage of their lives. She was active for 30 years at Christ Church and served as an Elder, educator and mentor. Prior to this she was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Strongsville, Ohio where she enjoyed teaching religious education classes, as well as facilitating Women’s Retreats both at St. Joseph’s, Strongsville, and the Jesuit Retreat Center, Cleveland, Ohio. She was active in recovery and sponsorship. Prior, her career was at Forest City Enterprises founded by the Ratner Family housed at Tower City Center, Cleveland, Ohio. She had positions in Administration and Human Resources. Sheila attended coursework at Notre Dame College, South Euclid, Ohio. An avid reader and public speaker, her passion was teaching, particularly in the area of spirituality. She had an enduring commitment to service that never ceased. She was able to travel to France, Italy, England and her beloved Ireland.
She enjoyed cooking for family and vacations to the Outer Banks, NC. She was a devoted friend and caregiver to many in their time of need. Family wishes to extend their deep gratitude to the many loving caregivers at Shurmer Memory Care, and Southwest Hospice, Strongsville, Ohio.
Arrangements: All services on Friday, 2/6/26. Gathering from 10:30AM-12PM at Christ Church, 23080 Royalton Rd., Columbia Station, OH 44028. Service following at 12PM.
