Scott Spagnola's Obituary
Scott Spagnola, age 56, of Strongsville, passed away in February 2021. He was born in Akron, Ohio, and graduated from Tallmadge High School. Scott was a goldsmith by trade but was also experienced in home building, remodeling and anything creative and challenging. Scott participated in demanding sports, including wrestling, bodybuilding, and Chinese martial arts. He was an accomplished cook who enjoyed creating unique dishes for family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Debra, and her parents, James and Margaret Sunderland and her brother, Jeff (Diane) Sunderland. Scott was loved as their own son and brother. He also is survived by his mother, Ann Argenio Spagnola (Dante), who will miss his smile and his voice, “Hi, Mom, it’s Scott.” Scott is survived by three sisters, Linda (Paul) Davis, Sheri Spagnola and Vicki Wilson and brother-in-law Terry Wilson, all of the Akron area. Scott leaves many cousins, nephews and nieces who will miss his humor and energy. Scott was preceded in death by grandparents, Rosemary Keller and Fred Argenio and father, Dominic Spagnola.
Scott and Debra loved nature and worked together landscaping their homes and took long rides in Ohio parks on warm evenings to share the beauty they both loved. Their home was their haven, shared by their beloved German shepherds.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cleveland Animal Protective League or any charity of choice. A private service will take place in the Spring.
