Sarah Lee Hamrick Ulmer's Obituary
Sarah Lee Hamrick Ulmer, 83, passed to the Lord September 23. She was originally from Bessemer City, N.C. and resided in Strongsville, Ohio. She was the beautiful wife to Paul Gerhardt Ulmer (deceased). Sweet mother to her daughter Alice Lee Ulmer Nicholson and son-in law Scott Nicholson, and her son Jeffrey Ulmer; loving Granny to Sarah Jane Nicholson, John Paul Nicholson and Prescott Nicholson; devoted sister to Tommy Hamrick (deceased), Polly Hamrick and Priscilla Hamrick Mauney, and brother-in-law Jeff Mauney, David Ulmer, sister-in-law Cynthia Hamrick, and Myrna Ulmer Furlong; Caring aunt to Michael Hamrick, William Hamrick, Maria Hamrick Murray, Jay Hamrick (deceased), Elizabeth Mauney, Margaret Mauney Boheler, Michael Ulmer and Matthew Furlong.Sarah graduated from Baldwin Wallace College, Berea, Ohio and attended Gardner Webb and Meredith College in NC. She was a college/high school teacher for 30 years and active in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Methodist Church, Berea. Sarah was a piano player and singer and liked spending time with her grandchildren in Chicago and family in NC. A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church, Berea, Ohio, Sunday October 9, 2016 at 2:30PM. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Friday October 7, 2016 at 1:45PM and Bessemer City, N.C. at the end of this year.
