As I wrote in another space, I am shocked about Ron!! I am his "Uncle Don" and
we had much in common. I am his deceased mother's brother. It just seems like
yesterday when he and his sister were small kids saying goodbye to me as I
left for my overseas service in the Navy during the Korean War. My sincere
condolences to all the family. Uncle Don is now 85 and lives alone with lots of
memories.
At first, Ron was my Father in Law, but then very quickly, he became my good friend. I am grateful for all of the wonderful memories he and I shared. We watched Nascar together, went hunting, vacationed and simply sat together and talked about family, work and life. I have always felt so fortunate to have found my wife, Kelly. I never dreamed that I would feel as fortunate to have Ron as my Father in Law. What a double blessing! I thank God for being a part of Ron's life and I very much look forward to seeing him again iin Heaven.

Where do we begin...32 years of sharing holidays, travels, friendship and fun. We've watched our children grow, witnessed their weddings and shared stories of grandchildren. Such friendships are a blessing. Ron was a gift in our lives and we will forever cherish our memories.

Remembering the camping trip that Ron & Nancy came with Carol and I to Springbrook State Park in central Iowa. It was fun for all and I don't think Ron ever did catch any fish....
I always enjoyed getting Ron's take on family, work, retirement and life in general. I would travel to Cleveland to visit my Mother- in- law and I would meet Ron for lunch. We would talk about many things, my health his health and as I got closer to retirement his advice was always, " life is to short retire now". Life is to short but I am very thankful that I had that time with Ron. I will miss our talks!!

Ron was a great brother. He taught me the fine art of playing with plastic cowboys, indians, and little horses at an early age. I got a baking set for Christmas, but was afraid to put the mixed cake batter into the oven, so he did all that for me. We had a great childhood. As we grew older, we might not talk to each other for weeks, but when we did it was as though we had never been apart. He was the best big brother a girl could have. He always ended our conversations with , "I love you, Sis. You're living the good life." So I love you, Ron. I know life is so great where you are. Carol Johnson Fleagle
We remember Ron from all the fun trips to the Iowa State Fair and hunting for pheasant in South Dakota.

Remembering all those trips to Seven Springs, Pa with 8 of us to play golf, party and enjoy each others company. Ron would always set up fun golf games for us to play.
Oddlots and our stock club meetings, all all the fun and good times we had debating which stocks to buy or sell. How we could lose money even though the stock market was climbing!
