Roger A. Jackson's Obituary
Roger A. Jackson, age 70, of Strongsville, passed away April 4, 2017 at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. Born February 21, 1947, in Newport, Tennessee. Beloved brother of Edna M. Bragg, Carol S. Topping (the late Harold) and Teresa L. Jackson. He is also survived by sister-in-law, JoAnn Jackson and brother-in-law, Keith G. Castle. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Eugene and Edith Elizabeth Jackson; grandparents Allen Teague, Mary Minerva Jane Stokely, and James and Clemmie Jackson; brothers, Tony C. Jackson, James O. Jackson; sisters Lola D. Rivera (Victor), Margaret A. Castle, Ima Jean Davis (Lewis), and Linda K. Gill (Jobe). Proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He earned Purple Heart Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. From 1985-1987 he served as the Post Commander at VFW Post 1079 in Elyria. He was also a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 49 and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 403.
