Robert H. Ruf's Obituary
Robert H. Ruf was called home by the Lord on Sept.14, 2013 at the great age of 86. Robert was born on Jan.1st,1927 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a life long resident of Lodi; Where he met and made many friends. Robert was survived by his loving wife and best friend Gwen Ruf. He was the father of Linda Hamrick, Carol Piper, Bobby(Loretta) Ruf, Kathy "Kip" Greathouse, and his Stepson Don(Kathy) VanSwearingen. His grand children are Michael, Todd, Jennifer(Robert), Eric, Stacy(Tom),Rebecca(Justin), Mariah, and Andrea(William); His special girls Alyssa and Aliyah, along with many other beloved great grand children. Robert was a retired, very talented, and life long devoted truck driver. He was a committed teamsters member in union 507. Robert had a deep passion for life and for his family. Nothing made him happier than spending time and conversing with his loved ones. He was proceeded in death by his first wife Patricia "Hall" Ruf, loving daughter Bonnie Spiker, his parents and three brothers: Harry, Richard, and Donald. A memorial potluck dinner is being held on Thursday Sept. 19th from 4pm-8pm at The Pine Villa event hall. Located in the Pine Villa trailer park where Robert resided.
