"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."
"God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not meant to be,
So he put his arms around you
and whispered "Come to Me".
With tearful eyes we watched you,
as we saw you pass away.
Although we loved you deeply,
we could not make you stay.
Your Golden Heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best. "
Dad, a boy could not have had a bettor father, teacher, and role model. You gave me so much and always stuck up for me. You showed me that a man should be honest to a fault, loving and giving to all his family, never take advantage of anyone, never judge, not complain, and always extend a helping hand to anyone and everyone.
The world is a much poorer place without you. You touched and blessed the lives of so many on this earth, and you were loved and admired by many.
I will miss you deeply.
I will strive to always be as kind and considerate as you were, helpful to all, do the right thing in all circumstances, sacrifce for family and friends, love my wife and kids, exhibit bravery in the face of adversity, treat everyone with respect and compassion, stick up for my kids and treat them both as best as I can.
I promise to take care of Mom as best as I can and do whatever I can for her... just as you would have done. Don't worry, I will cut the grass for you and fix whatever breaks at your house. We will see each other again and I imagine you have a headstart on putting your "heavenly" shop and garage together so you can work on restoring your next car, scooter, and building more greenhouse boxes, clocks, birdbeeders and stools.
I love you dad, and I will see you soon, in the "blink of an eye" reunited with all of our family with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who knew you had fought the good fight and had enough, called you home to end your suffering and pain.
-Love Always, your son, Bob##imported-begin##Bob Barrett##imported-end##
To a cousin I admired for his spunk, wit, hard work and ability to build birdhouse, weld, fix scooters and cars. He always called me June the goon which made me laugh. He loved his family and we
will miss him. God Bless!##imported-begin##June Barrett Albert##imported-end##
We have wonderful memories of Speedy as a kind, generous and thoughtful person. His craftsmanship was superb and we have several things that he made for us. They are lasting mementos. We will miss him##imported-begin##Myron & Janis Seeman##imported-end##
