Robert Ronald Gainous' Obituary
Robert Gainous, age 84, of Strongsville passed peacefully on Monday May 25th. Beloved husband of Nancy Kay (Cavanaugh) Gainous. Cherished father of Ron (Linda), Mike (Lynn), Kathy, Tim (Nicole) and Doug (Stacy). Loving grandfather to Mike Haxton (Jessica), Matthew Haxton, Jamie and Jared Windler, Emily, Evan, Olivia, Nick, Rachel, Brynlee and Sloane Gainous. Great-Grandfather to Riley and Parker Haxton and friend to many. Robert was born in Springfield Ohio to Robert Ray and Mary Lee Gainous. He attended Ohio University where he played college football. Robert was an Accountant for many years and raised his family in Strongsville. Robert was a member of The Knights of Columbus, the Optimist Club, and was an Army Veteran honorably discharged as a Captain. He loved to play golf, watch Ohio State football and was always ready for dessert. He will be greatly missed. Church services will be held Friday May 29th at St. Joseph's Church in Strongsville at 11:30 am.
