Robert A. Ferreri's Obituary
Robert A. Ferreri passed away peacefully in the presence of his beloved wife Diane (nee Dewey) of nearly 30 years. Bob was born September 3, 1949 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Adeline F. Ferreri (Basilice) and Anthony Ferreri. He is also survived by his sister Janet Ferreri and his fur baby, a beagle named Ozzy. His brother Richard, preceded him in death.
Bob attained Scouting's highest rank, the Eagle Scout. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia followed by a Juris Doctor Degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. His career path included attorney, Assistant Cuyahoga County prosecutor and a Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court judge for 12 years. Bob's greatest legacy was the work he did as "Judge Ferreri" making a positive difference in hundreds of children in Cuyahoga County. He founded "Judge Ferreri's Fire Safety House" which taught children of Cuyahoga County rules of fire safety. He was proactive in many other programs such as the Dare Program.
He loved music and the cinema, as well as travel, history and gardening.
VISITATION will be held on TUESDAY, July 9th from 3pm - 7pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on WEDNESDAY, July 10th at 11am, also at Jardine's. Interment will take place at the Strongsville Cemetery.
