Mrs. D., Jeff and Sarah,
Mr D. was an amazing man. As others have commented he was able to connect with and positively impact everyone. I feel blessed to have been able to spend so much time around him through scouting. I will never forget our nighttime discussions around the campfire and the endless cheerfulness. I am sorry for your lose, but I thank you for sharing such a great man with me.
With love,
Adam Barkley
His gift of gab and always a way to make you laugh, that’s what I’ll remember of Bobby. Great family meals at Sorrentos, scary movies at the drive-in, and incredible foot rubs, I’ve missed those too. Rest In Peace, Bob and know your family is loved.

What can I say about my Cousin Bobby? He was an icon in my eyes, so grown up compared to the rest of us. He even had a girlfriend! Ms. Adrienne, of course! No matter what he was going through, he always had a kind word, a smile, and would ask how you were doing. I could listen to his stories all evening at the family gatherings. He will be so missed, and I know that he will help St. Peter with any woodworking needs at the pearly gates :) He had such a wonderful talent for that! I will cherish my hand-carved bear that he gave me forever. We were all so blessed to have had him in our lives. The world is a richer place for us because of knowing Bob. May his family find peace in our shared loving thoughts and prayers.
I first met Bob ("Mr. D") while camping with Jon Jennings and his family for Boy Scouts (and family vacations) as a teenager. Bob was such a nice guy with a genuinely kind heart. I will miss all of his pearls of camping wisdom --- drop hamburgers on the ground? It's okay, the grass is just garnish! Forgot your toothbrush? Just use your finger! I loved his humor and his perspective on things. He could relate well to children and adults alike and was just an all-around "good dude." He will be missed by many.
Bob connected to everyone,
to the very young (volunteering as Santa) , to youth (as an assistant scoutmaster) and to the old (as confidant and friend). He was an interested and caring man who had a love of family and community. He had a way of smoothing out disagreements and keeping peace in trying circumstances. But for my family, perhaps the most fitting tribute is to say, as my daughter-in-law stated, “Bob was always kind to me”. - The Jennings and Kelly Families
Dear Adrienne, Jeff & Sarah: I have many fond memories of fun times spent with you and Bob at parties, camping, our home, etc... He was a kind soul and will always be remembered as such. Thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Yvonne Hullinger.
