Robert M. Buchser, Jr (Age 71) passed away early Saturday April 22, 2023. He is survived by his wife Janet, son Robert C. Buchser and wife Maryann Buchser (Stowell), their son Benjamin, daughter Jennifer Reynolds and husband Brandon Reynolds, their children Noah and Adalynn, son Kevin Buchser and wife Renee Buchser (Borngen), and son Nicholas Buchser and husband Kenny Bethea Jr.. He will be greatly missed by siblings Peg Mackenzie, Becky Keeter, Barb Giffen, Ann McKenzie, John Buchser, and their families.
Bob aka Bob Jr, Dad, Pa, Pap-Pa, OG, started as a Navy brat born in Great Lakes, Illinois and always had an immense respect for all those who served, including his sons Bob and Kevin. He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where he attended St. Ignatius High School and remained a loyal alumnus his whole life. He then attended Cleveland State University where he met Janet Austin, which started a 52-year journey of love. He was truly a Clevelander loving all the sports teams even with their heartaches and could give you the longest short cut to any destination in the city. He was a gifted salesman, early computer enthusiast, and a self-taught IT guy. He was an avid collector, train enthusiast and had a deep appreciation and fascination with the post office. He always worked with a dedication to a company as it was his own and had an endless gift of gab never meeting someone that remained a stranger for long. His true happiness was found in the adventures he had with Janet, his children and grandchildren, be it a grand vacation or a simple outing to the local ice cream spot. They all feel he left us too soon but are thankful for the time they were able to have his wit, support and love.
His family would like all those who wish and are able to join them for a celebration of life at Jardine Funeral Home on Friday April 28, 2023, from 4-8pm. Open Reception hours will be 4-7pm with the ceremony at 7pm. In Lieu of Flowers, please dedicate a donation in his memory to Youth Challenge.
