Robert "Bob" Thein's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Thein age 84, of Strongsville.
Passed away Nov. 25, 2018. He was born 1933 in Rochester, NY, and is preceded in death by parents Alfred and Geneva, and sisters Lois (Joe) and Darrell (Sr. Mary Jane Therese, SND).
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann.
Sons Greg (Jamye) and Dave (Jill), and daughter Laurann (Mike) Collins.
Adored grandchildren Colin, Kevin, Erica, Abby, Luke, Anthony, Bridget, Ellie, Timmy, Violet, Annie, and Grace.
Brother and sister-in-laws John and Pat Zickes, Jane Zickes, and Bob and Fran Zickes, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bob was an Army Veteran, serving in Korea. He proudly worked for over 40 years at The Plain Dealer in Advertising and Marketing and Research. He taught evening classes at Tri-C, and was active with the American Marketing Association. In retirement, he enjoyed ILR classes and wood carving at the Strongsville Senior Center.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bob from 1-3 P.M. and 6-8 P.M November 28, 2018 at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 29, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Rd. Strongsville, OH. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
