Rita Dorothy Marazsky's Obituary
Rita Dorothy Marazsky, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on January 29th, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and the sweetest memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew her. Rita was the beloved wife of Richard Marazsky, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage filled with laughter, dance, and unwavering support.
Born with a heart full of music, Rita's passion for ballroom dancing was evident to all who had the pleasure of watching her glide across the dance floor. Her love for the melodies of Frank Sinatra and Doris Day filled her home with warmth and became the soundtrack to many family gatherings at Edgewater Beach, where picnics by the lake were a treasured tradition.
Rita's devotion to her family was unparalleled. She was a nurturing mother to her children; daughter Annmarie Marazsky Rogers, affectionately known as Annie, who is married to Bill Rogers, and son Richard Marazsky, who found his life partner in Maria Raquel Rodriguez. Rita's role as a sister was equally cherished, sharing life's journey with her sister Chris Litvak and her spouse Bill Litvak, and her brother Joesph Terebieniec (the late Renee), known fondly as Butch.
Her family circle extended to her late cousin Marcy Fink, whose husband Daniel Fink also preceded her in death, as well as her late cousin John Grabowski. Rita's presence was a comforting constant, and her absence will be deeply felt by all.
Rita's grandchildren, Daniel Richard Rogers, Alexis Madison Rogers, and Katelyn Lyanna Marazsky, were the light of her life. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, imparting wisdom, love, and the occasional sweet treat. For 26 years, Rita was the most reliable dog sitter and babysitter, dedicating her time and affection to Annie's children, Danny and Lexi, who will miss her deeply.
Rita's capacity to love and care for others extended beyond her immediate family. She was a friend to many, always ready to lend an ear or offer a helping hand. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and her absence will leave a void in the hearts of those who loved her.
