Richard A. Steimle's Obituary
The sun has set on a remarkable man's life. Richard A. Steimle was brought into this world on November 16th, 1952 via Robert and Dorothy (Schultz) Steimle. Throughout his life, he’s worn many hats, accomplishing so many things. He was a parts man for Ford, a real estate agent, a photographer, a courier, a handyman, and a groundskeeper. However, his most cherished titles were undoubtedly loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He has touched so many lives. Oftentimes it would only take one moment with him to make an impression that lasts a lifetime.
He married the love of his life, Mary J (Glodich) Steimle, in August of 1987 and together they built a beautiful family. In their 35 years of marriage, they went on numerous adventures and vacations with family and friends creating memories every step of the way and always having the time of their lives. His children and grandchildren were his favorite pass time. It didn't matter what they were doing, just being together was all that he needed.
Rick lived for his family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time playing games, fishing, boating, hiking, gardening, cooking, painting, teaching, fixing things, listening to music, watching nature, playing with his dog heads, and just having a “few” drinks with good company.
He was always warm and welcoming to any person he met, oftentimes instantly making friends with complete strangers. He always put others before himself and would go out of his way to help anybody in need. He became known as a Mr. Fix-it as he was always lending a hand and repairing things for friends and neighbors. He prided himself on making people laugh and giving out the best nicknames.
A man like him is rare, one so generous with his love, so smart, and so kind. Rick was the friend that everyone needs in this world. He was always full of laughter and always the first one up for shenanigans. May we all one day be as fondly cherished as him.
He is now watching over his wife Mary Steimle; mother Dorothy Steimle; children Cynthia (Jeremy) Brossia, and Richard M. (Corri) Steimle; siblings George Steimle, Cheryle Koberna, Joe (Roxanne) Steimle, Bob (Laura) Steimle, Jan (Don) Dickard, Eddie (Linda) Steimle, and Barb (Gloria) Steimle; grandchildren Alex and Andy Brossia; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and lifelong friend Ron Mazor.
He joins in peace his father Robert Steimle, brother-in-law Dale Koberna, and lifelong friend Don Kraska.
