Richard Michael Bachara's Obituary
Richard Michael Bachara, passed away peacefully on the 16th of August, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio. Born on February 26, 1945, in Lackawanna, New York, Richard's journey through life was marked by devotion to his family, a passion for baseball, and a legacy of service.
Richard was a beloved husband to his late wife, Esther, with whom he shared 59 years of unwavering love and companionship. He was a loving father to Cindy Harhay and Kimberly Miceli (Joseph). The son of the late Walter and Florence, Richard was a caring brother to Eleanor Scaffidi (the late Phil) and Kenneth Bachara (Candance). He also cherished the memories of his late twin sister, Ruthie. Richard's role as a dear grandfather to Joseph Richard Harhay, Jessica Renee Miceli, Madison Elizabeth Harhay, Ashley Nicole Miceli, Joseph Miceli, Miranda Miceli, and Jacob Miceli filled his life with joy and pride. His lifelong friendship with Dan Boone stood as a testament to loyalty and camaraderie. Richard was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Richard's life was one of service and dedication. He proudly worked on planes and loved playing baseball while he was in the Air Force. His career spanned several decades, during which he worked for prominent companies such as Westinghouse Electric, LTV Steel, and Redmond Waltz. His work ethic, commitment to excellence as a chief Stuart at LTV Steel was diplomatic, fair and was a true confidant.
Beyond his professional achievements, Richard's love for baseball was a constant throughout his life. Whether playing, watching, or teaching the grandkids how to play, it was a source of great pleasure and excitement for him. Richard's loyalty to the Buffalo Bills was unwavering, and he could often be found cheering them on, filled with hope and enthusiasm. However, it was his grandchildren who brought him the greatest joy. Richard cherished every moment spent with them, nurturing their dreams and celebrating their successes.
Richard's life was a tapestry woven with love, friendship, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, a comforting presence reminding us of the strength of family bonds and the joy that comes from sharing our lives with others. Richard Michael Bachara's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the indomitable spirit of a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
ALL SERVICES FRIDAY, AUGUST 22, 2025. A Memorial Gathering will begin at 1PM until the time of service at 3PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. Interment will immediately follow the service at Strongsville Cemetery.
