Peter Doyle's Obituary
Peter G. “Pete” Doyle, age 80, passed away November 29, 2017. Beloved husband of Rosemary (nee Hines). Devoted father of Peter J. (Nicole), Thomas “Ted”, Bob (Kim) and John. Brother of Nancy Smith (Harold) and the late Mary Kay Chambers (Frank, deceased) and Thomas J. Doyle (Audrey, surviving). Loving grandfather of Elan Doyle. Dear uncle and friend to many.
Peter served in the Navy Reserve and was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served in Korea. He graduated from Arizona State University and Case Western Reserve University where he received his master’s degree. He was retired from Cleveland Cliffs Iron Co. and took them through the Y2K project. He also served as President of the Family Group of the Warrensville Center Home for the Developmentally Disabled. He worked with Ohio Congressmen to keep the State Centers for Developmentally Disabled Citizens open. He was very involved with the Little League Baseball League for many years both as a coach and sitting on the Board of Directors.
Memorial Mass 11:30 AM SATURDAY, JANUARY 20, 2018 at St. Joseph Church, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A gathering with family and friends will follow at a location to be announced later.
