My condolences to Uncle Denny, Allison, Mark, Beth Corinne and all of their families. I am so sad at the passing of Aunt Penny. She was an amazing person and I will hold dear the memories we had together. I especially loved that she was such a dedicated sister to my dad, Stan( who she called "Honey") and that they both worked to get our families together so often despite being states apart. My best memories are of the weeks during the summer that I would get to stay at the Sweeterman home visiting my cousin Beth. Aunt Penny made it a warm, fun, comfortable place to be . I remember Penny in the kitchen, listening to music, cooking Sweeterman Beef, corralling dogs, or caring in some way for her four children and husband. She was truly a great mom and wife. Some things I will always remember about Aunt Penny are that she loved popcorn cooked on the stove, she loved to iron, she had long painted fingernails, she had great taste in decorating and fashion, and that she always remembered birthdays and sent a pretty card. I will miss her smile and laugh.
Our childhood gatherings were a highlight in my life and Aunt Penny a wonderful part of those times. The record player in the kitchen always playing great music while Penny was preparing something delicious. I’ll never forget leaving a huge mess after the “gourmet” dinner we prepared for the family and pretty sure Penny took care of it! We probably ran off to plan a fashion show with Penny’s beautiful cloths and shoes.

I have such wonderful memories of Mrs. Sweeterman growing up with all the dinners and sleepovers at the Sweeterman house! She was always so kind and made her home so welcoming. My heartful condolences to you all.

Penny was always quite the lady, very kind and sweet. I think some of the best memories of Penny was when she had a new condo to decorate. She would get excited over planning and shopping - with a twinkle in her eyes always!
